Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival

As you land on Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu, a representative from Adventure Himalaya Trek will be there to welcome you and help you transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu.You can visit our office and discuss your trip with us.You stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Full-day Guided Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour

With our expert tour guides, you will spend this whole day doing sightseeing tour of major attractions of Kathmandu valley. Being popularly touted as the city of temples, Kathmandu offers some of best examples of cultural heritages. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Sites of Pashupatinath (one of the most famous temple of Shiva), Boudhanath Stupa and Monastery (One of the oldest and largest of its kind), Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square. Stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara – 7 Hours

We leave Kathmandu today. To progressour trip, we need to take a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara that takes around seven hours via bus. Or, you can even opt to take a regular morning flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (will take about 30 minutes) as well.Check-into a hotel in Pokhara for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Napayapul by private vehicle and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1577m) – 4 Hours

In the morning, we take a short drive (about an hour) to Nayapul from Pokhara. Nayapul is going to be the starting point of actual trek. So, we walk along the ModiKhola bank that will eventually bringus to Birethanti (1015m). Continuing through the villages and ascending constantly, we finally reach Tikhedhunga. Spend overnight in a guesthouse at Tikhedhunga.

Day 05: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2840m) – 5 Hours

Continuing further up through a steep climb to Ulleri (2070m), we progress our walk from Tikhedhunga today. We encounter a large ethnic settlement of Magar people at Ulleri. Ascending more gradually from Ulleri, and passing through the fine forests of rhododendrons and oaks, we move towards Banthanti. From there, Ghorepani is just a couple of hours’ walk away. We stay overnight in a local guesthouse in Ghorepani.

Day 06: Early morning hike up to Poon Hill (3210m), and trek to Tadapani (2610m) – 4 Hours

We have to wake up early in the morning today as we are hiking up to Poon Hill to catch the phenomenal sunrise view. Offering an amazing panorama of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, Poon Hill is known to be the finest viewpoint in the entire Annapurna Region. It’s also popularly touted as ‘the Photographer’s Paradise’. Do not miss out to take some of the most beautiful snapshots of the entire trek at Poon Hill. Enjoy the unobstructed views of glittery-white snowcapped peaks. Not only sunrise, but Poon Hill is also best known for the awesome sunset views as well. Take few worthy moments to enjoy the Himalayan panorama from Poon Hill and return back to Ghorepani again. Take your breakfast and continue your walk along the forested ridges to reach Deurali (2960m) and eventually to Tadapani. Stay overnight in a guesthouse at Tadapani.

Day 07: Trek from Tadapani to Chhomrung (2140m) – 5 Hours

Today, we start with a steep downhill walk through the beautiful forests of rhododendrons. We leave Tadapaniback and descend again through the forests and reach the village of Gurjung, a typical Gurung settlement. Leaving Gurjung behind, we eventually walk to Chhomrung at the altitude of 2140m where we stay overnight at a local guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek from Chhomrung to Dovan (2500m) – 6 Hours

From Chhomrung, we trail starts to drop down to ChhomrungKhola. And again, we continue to climb up from ChhomrungKhola to Khuldighar where there used to be an Annapurna Conservation Area Check Post. Walking little further and clearing the forest, we have to follow the steeply down trail towards the bottom of the gorge known as Dovan where we stay overnight at a local guesthouse.

Day 09: Trek from Dovan to Deurali (3230m) – 4 Hours

We walk from Dovan to Deurali today. And the trail is fairly easy and relatively shorttoday. We begin this trek with climbing through a forest of bamboo and the through a forest of rhododendron. Passing through Hinku Cave, we finally reach at Deurali where we stay overnight at a local guesthouse.

Day 10: Trek from Deurali to ABC (4131m) – 5 Hours

Leaving Deurali back, we pass through Machhapuchhre Base Camp, often known as Annapurna Sanctuary, we move further a couple of hours to reach Annapurna Base Camp. Take time to observe some of the awe-inspiring views of surrounding mountains.

Day 11: Trek from ABC to Bamboo (2345m) – 6 Hours

We return from Annapurna Base Camp today. Following the same trail back, we descend down through the bank of ModiKhola and finally reach at Bamboo. Find some teahouses to stay overnight at Bamboo.

Day 12: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Hot Spring (1780m) – 5 Hours

While advancingourtrek today, we follow the same trail back from Bamboo until Chhomrung. After Khuldighar, continue the trail through rhododendron and bamboo fields. Descending steeply from Chhomrong, we follow the trail to Jhinu Hot spring, where you can enjoy the natural hot spring bath. Find a guesthouse to stay overnight at Jhinu.

Day 13: Trek from Jhinu Hot Spring to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara – 6 Hours

Today is going to be the final day of our actual trek. So, we make our way back to Nayapul today. Choosing to walk at the right side of the ModiKhola for about five hours, we arrive at Birethanti. Birethanti is considered to be one of the best and most relaxing walks of the entire trek. Once we reach Nayapul, take a short drive back to Pokhara. And again check-in to a hotel for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14: Full-day Guided Sightseeing Tour of Pokhara Valley

Pokhara, being known as one of the most popular touristic destinations of Nepal, and one of the most beautiful cities Nepal has to offer,is worth spending a whole day doing some exploration and sightseeing tours. So, we spend this entire dayexploring some of the highlighting attractions of this city. Take your time to catch the beautiful early morning sunrise view from Sarangkot. Sure, you’re gonna cherish forever the sunrise views from Sarangkot. Then, return back to Pokhara valley again and visit Bindhawashini Temple, Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave, Davis’Falls. And how can you not enjoy the reflection of Machhapuchhre in Phewa Lake? Enjoyboating in the Lake and explore the beautiful sights from TaalBarahi Temple located at the middle of Phewa Lake. In the remaining time, you can go for shopping in Pokhara. Stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 15: Drive back to Kathmandu

From Pokhara, we drive back to Kathmandu again. Upon reaching Kathmandu, take your remaining time for exploring around the city or just go for last minute shopping. We celebrate the Farewell dinner together with our trekking team. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 16: Final Departure

Final day of your entire trip!You can continue your new trip to some other destinationor take the flight back to your hometown. A representative from Adventure Himalaya Treks will drop you to the airport.
