TRIP OVERVIEW ISLAND PEAK CLIMBING 18 DAYS

Embark on a wonderful adventure with Adventure Himalaya Trek to Island Peak, climbing and trekking into the heartland of the Khumbu valley, Gokyo and Everest Base Camp r. Island Peak (6189m) is one of most beautiful and wonderful climbing peaks in Nepal, with an attractive and highly glaciated West Face that rises from the Lhotse Glacier. An ascent of Gokyo Ri (5370m) and Kala Pattar (5545m) proves a good acclimatization hike and g you get magnificent close-up views of the world’s highest mountains, including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Oumari,Makalu and more. Further acclimatization hikes take us over the less-frequented Cho La pass (5430m) and Kongma La Pass (5525m) before ascending one of the most famous peaks in the Everest region. This peak is medium peak in the Khumbu region.
The mountain name of “Island Peak” in 1952, due to its striking location in the middle of the Chhukung valley, like an island in a sea of ice. It was renamed Imja Tse in the early 1980s, though its original name is still more popular. From the base camp, it may take two or more days to scale the peak, depending on weather conditions. Around two weeks you can do possible Everest base camp trek and summit to Island peak.Experience tells us that it is better to spend two nights at the base camp for acclimatization and training and then attempt the Island Peak summit in one push directly from the base camp. The journey begins and concludes at the world famous Lukla airstrip in the Everest region.
